Is BR the best option??

Hi dalip,
You should be very proud of yourself for getting that far, because I know they have lots of applicants and only a small number of places. So to get down to the final 20 is a real achievment (not the one you wanted though). Did you enjoy the work you did with your husband??
What sort of caring are you hoping to go into?? In a home, or caring for them in their own homes?? I have started for 1 day a week doing it, to see if I enjoy it before I finish the job I am in at the moment. My job is going round to there homes. My first day was last Sunday. Was very nervous, but it went ok and I really enjoyed it. You have to take the good with the bad. I saw some lovely people, but I also got a few funny ones too. But I got through it and I enjoyed it. You tend to find your heart goes out to them all and it makes you realise that you should live your life whilst you can and enjoy every minute of it.
So go for it and im sure you will be brilliant at it

Working with hubby was ok but in the end the hours and the job itself took it's toll on me.
I am hoping to get into the hospital enviroment. I have worked in a stroke & rehabiltation home some years back.
Either that or get back into catering which i also enjoyed and know i am quite good at.
I have rung every day for the last 3 days and got an answer phone, left 2 messages about a job in catering, just tried again:mad: still answer phone. They have not bothered to get back to me. I reported them to the job centre yesterday. I am sick to death of ringing about jobs and nobody bothering to call back.

Noooo, its nice to hear other peoples stories.....
Its usually the case when you are trying to get in touch with someone.. Just keep trying and you will finally get through to someone. And if you have reported them, im sure someone will get back to you asap.
Sounds like a similar situation to me now. I am trying to contact the people I have my IVA with, but everyone I need to speak to is busy. But when they ring me up and I am out, the give my mother abuse because of it.

Hi we're going down the bankruptcy route because the payments are so high we can't live and having to relie on family and friends to help out, Freeman Jones have said that the IVA will fail if we reduce payments anymore it started out at £1300 per month and it was reduced down to £1037 due to energy prices! I have consulted a financial advisor from Smith and Williamson they are accountants and have stated that BR would be in our best interest! We don't have a house because this was repossed due to a secured loan being on the property and it could only be included once the house was sold, we tried to sell it but it was repossessed, we tried to talk to the CAB but because we are tied into a IVA contract they can't advise us!!! We have spoken to the National Debt Line and they agreed that BR is our best option. We're going to court on 23 September and I'm dreading it now!!!!!0
