I have 4 ccj,s against my name, they total £4800.My mum has offered to lend me £5000 to clear the ccj,s.However when I rang the courts today, they say they can,t help and I have to go back to creditors and see what they decide.I am ashamed to say I have no paperwork for my debt as I keep throwing it away.Yes I am stupid I am sure the courts think I am lying but I genuinel have been hiding this debt for years.I get very anxious talking to people and just wanted confirmation that ringing the companies who registered the ccj, is right way to go.

OK, you cannot pay the Courts direct.
However, you can ask for a copy of the Judgement - this will give you an address as a starting point.

HI
As above poster said. Contact the courts again and say you would like to pay the CCJs could they send you/give you all the information they hold with regards to the credator.
I found i went through 3 different debt collectors as the debt had been passed on, bute ventually found the right one and paid them.
Remember to only pay what the CCJ is actually for as that is the amount you have been ordered to pay (so make sure you get the full amount ordered from the court - whcih should be on the paperwork).
Hope that made sense.

ccj's need to be paid to the comp that reistered them. they then should inform the court who then inform the registry trust who then inform the credit agencys. This process can fall down at any stage. If it has been registered with two courts then this is a mistake by the registry trust and the credit agency can raise a query with the trust for you to see where it should be dealt with. Then once the court has it there that it has been paid. the registry trust should update the agencys but often this doesnt happen. So if you purchase from the court a certificate of satisfaction(£15) and send the original into the credit agency they should update the ccj on your report in two working days0
