Hello,
Was just wondering if you could help me?!
Can I apply for a new phone and contract whilst Im BR? Or will I be told NO, NO, NO!! And if I do fail the Credit Check (which is what I will do), can I get a guarantor? And most importantly, am I allowed to do this when im still undischarged?
This week, my parents got a letter from the OR after I had submitted another SOA to them, saying they were going to put me through for ED :j
Thank you.

you can try to apply for a new contract BUT you probably will fail the credit checks in place....although some providers have taken someone in the past with a terrible credit file but they ask for a refundable deposit before they consider signing you up...these deposits can vary from £300-£600 but the deposit would be returned to you in six months or so of staying with the provider although its NO guarantee that they will accept you in the first place........I ended up going pay as you go after my discharge i'd failed a credit check for a mobile & to be honest it was easier to go that way instead! We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0

Thank you...Its just that my phone is on the brink and its the cheapest way to get a new one by getting a contract!! However now I know about the deposit, maybe its not after all....thanks for your help.

This probably won't help but pay as you go phones are often really cheap now, I got one for a relative for £20 and was surprised how good the phone was to be honest.

Hi there,
try e2save.com, they have some good deals on PAYG phones.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
My H (we went BR in Feb this year) applied for and was (amazingly) accepted for a new contract with Virgin mobile. He got the phone for free (as is standard) and a new monthly contract. He applied on the website (to avoid the embarressment of them saying no!) and the phone was delivered the next day. So, definitely worth a try
