a while ago i was in debt £1000. overdrawn £1200. I Know its not alot to sum others out they but I have payed off my overdraft transferd my card to 10 moths interest free chang mu bank account sold my kids suff on ebay i am nearly out off debit plus i have the kidds stuff for xmass. the first time in along time ihave not to worry about money thanks for the help good luck to every one on here thanks again i can say how much i owe you all

    It doesn't matter if your debt is £1000 or £100,000 - if its worrying you, then it is a problem. Well done on your commitment to getting out of debt. Am just starting to get myself sorted out and am looking forward to a few years of committed snowballing!!! :D

    Well done bltchef! As jenevieve has said, the magnitude of the debt does not matter if it worries you.

    I think the most important thing by far is to cultivate a mindset which makes you more efficient with your money and not "needy" for things which are not really important but drain you of cash. Once this mindset is developed, staying out of debt becomes easy.

    MSE is a good place to be educated in the ways of money! :T
