Pay off towards my existing mortgage NOT in UK or put down as a deposit on a place...

Hi All,

I have a question for you. At the moment I am saving very hard because I would like to be able to put down 20% deposit should I decide to buy my own place in later 2009. However, I do have a mortgage on a beautiful apartment in Europe with the local bank. The outstanding on the mortgage is around 130k.. I am thinking whether it'd be wiser for me to pay the money towards the mortgage I have got already.. But then again, I have been renting for a long time and saving really hard and it seems like I cannot make the right decision.. The difference in rent and my mortgage payments here will be small...
