Electoral Roll

Hi there! I moved into my house in July and rang the Electoral Dept to get registered, however they just kept saying forms had been sent out. About 3 weeks ago they sent a red form out with 'Reminder' written all over it (this is after me ringing about 5 times). So I filled it in the same day and sent it off.

Does anyone know how long it takes for them to update it? Or is there anyway I can check (I opted out of the public list). I have tried to ring them all week and stuck in a queue....

Sounds a bit ominous, Cheddar, worth going to the County Hall and looking direct.Any official form could perhaps be used for money laundering.At least get your request in writing , perhaps e mail.

Check out this site. You should be added by 1 Dec which is when the new list is published. WHich council do you live in?

Oh no not ominous Ken I know the form is official and I posted using their pre-paid envelope! I thought that they may wait for a certain date etc... Its Bolton MBC ashmit. Thanks!

Sorry Ken, I re-read your post. I understand what you are saying now. I am going in town next week so will drop in, bet there's a 3 hours waiting time though! Usually is when I go!!! I can't get the aboutmyvote site to work but will check later. Thanks for your help guys!
