I've just been busy sorting evrything out really, haven't really had chance to deal with things as the first bailiff letters started to arrive in the first week. At least they are now sorted thanks to some help from Herbie21. Its not unfortunately, we weren't aware of them until after we set it up. The charges were paid last year though so its not really worth changing it over now to a free one. We do have it in writing from them that if they can't knock a minimum of what we paid them off the debt they will pay it back though. So I figure I just keep plodding along paying it, although not sure if I can take his debts off it though, don't want to be paying his off as he's not giving me a penny.0

HI
Who is the DMP with?
If it was a joint one and it includes debt in your ex's sle name, then please get them taken off immediately. You might not end up paying less but your debts could be reducing.
Unfortuately, joint debts fall to whoever pays them and the creditor are unlikely to chase him whilst you are paying them anything. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Don't want to pry, but don't see any maintainence/child support payments? Could ex maybe contribute perhaps to the childcare bill?LHS No 2220

www.freecycle.org. Sign up for your local group and the one nearest dear bro if possible. That way you can check two lots of offers. you have to start by making an offer but it does not have to be anything big - an old but serviceable piece of clothing, anything.
Great for toys, kid's clothes, household items, your clothes, electrical goods and emergency replacments for white goods if yours pack up.

Ras, the DMP is with Eurodebt (I know now its a bad choice as there's free ones but had already paid the fee in monthly installments before I knew of the free ones) I'll give them a call tomorrow and try to take his debts off. thanks for that, wasn't sure if I'd be able too. I'll definately be having a look on freecycle, my sons just out grown a load of clothes (didn't look very good in 3/4 lengths and crop tops!) so I can offer some of those.
Hi teetersonheels, no there are so far no child maintenance payments, although it has only been 2 weeks so haven't really been pushing. He's expressed good intentions to give us some money, but as he never paid for anything when he was living with us and just spent all of my money too I am not holding out much hope. Thats why I'm trying to get everything sorted with what I've got, then I'm not short if he lets us down as usual.0 -
Just having a look on Freecycle, does anyone know if you can sign up to more than one group as I live right in the middle of 2.0

Spoke to the Ex last night, apparently he's planning on moving to South Africa so don't think there's much chance of getting any money from him. Although he still expresses good intentions of paying something I have relied on his 'good intentions' before and now I have a massive rent backlogue, so I'm just going to carry on as I am for now.0
