Green Metropolis - books £3

Hi all!
Just wanted to let everyone know that I have come across this website:

https://www.greenmetropolis.com/index2.asp

It allows you to both sell your old books and to buy new ones from other members. I have used it a couple of times and had forgotten all about it, but logged on again today and thought I'd post here in case anyone else do not know or has forgotten about it!

  • I uses this a lot - not as many books as Amazon, but the ethical choice when you are book shopping.

i agree...it is amazing that the selection is bigger than i thought it would be, and the quality of the books have been as excellent as promised...the search tools could be improved though - sometimes books i would have thought should come up on a search do not, unless you type in a specific author, but all in all i feel better shopping with them!

You buy at £3.75and sell at £3.
I enjoy selling through them too! There is no seller's fee and listings are not timed out but you do have to paythe P&P from the £3, unless the book is heavy when you can charge a bit extra.

  • Thanks so much for this - I heard of them a while ago but forgot all about them!

Just started a clearout and realised I have far too many books, so I just joined and will start to list some soon (just had to buy one though - as a 'trial run' of course! lol!!!).

How long does stuff take to sell, on average, does anyone know?

Just been on this website and it's great. Just bought two books for more or less the same price as amazon.co.uk but feel very saintly because of the eco aspect! :)
