I have requested a CCA and they have written back asking for my previous address for the last three years. They sent this request to my old address which I moved from over 1 year ago when they already have my current address.
Are they stalling for time or is this a legitimate request?

You are not required to supply them with any other information. I think they are either stalling, or are doing something dodgy.
When you requested the CCA, did you sign the letter or send a cheque? After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

I sent a postal order but did not sign the letter, which they received on 08/08. They say that to comply with my request they need the last 3 addresses where i have lived, this is to ensure they are not in breach of the data protection act.
The company is Wescot Credit Services.0 -
Hate to say it, but that's buffalo manure.
Great steaming piles of it.
Fermi has posted a letter along similar lines.

I'm just concerned that they "require" this information so they can create their own CCA to send to you. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

As GeorgeUk says you don't have to provide any more info. Their saying they need to comply with the Data Protection Act is rubbish I would ask them to quote the relevant section of the DP Act which they will not be able to do.
The 12+2+30 started from the moment they signed for your CCA request and they know this.0 -
So when the 12+2 has passed shall I just the send my 2nd letter and add a bit asking them to quote the DPA or just ignore it as it was not sent to my correct address.0
-
Send the second letter and add a paragraph in about their address reques/Data Protection Act. If they don't respond to the DP Act just ignore them.0
-
If I have worked it out correctly will I send it on 22nd, they signed for the 1st letter on the 8th.
What is the +30 letter?0 -
After 12+2+30 days, if they have not provided a valid copy of the CCA and are still pursuing you for payment, they have committed a criminal offence.
