Tealights

Good evening all,
Has anyone got any tips on how to make tealights last longer, or know where I can buy tealights which last longer than the usual four hours?
I've heard putting candles in the freezer makes a difference... Is this true?
My sister is wanting long lasting ones for her wedding reception, but she's on a budget so if we can make the "£1.69 for 100" ones from Ikea last longer that would be all the better! (I've seen Prices Candles at £9.49 for 50 which are supposed to last eight hours).
Many thanks

Yes hon, keeping them in the freezer does make them burn more slowly. If they are scented ones, you might want to wrap them well first!

Yes, freezing helps!
What I did my my wedding & reception a couple of years ago was ask someone to be 'candle monitor' - gave them a bag of spare ones and a candle lighter and got them to keep an eye on them and change as necessary through the event!!!!!!!
I had all Ikea ones - in tealight glasses, and also floating ones in the ikea £1 glass vases - they looked very classy! The best advice you can give your children: "Take responsibility for your own actions...and always Read the Small Print!"

I like the candle monitor idea... Might do that myself! And as for keeping them in the freezer I've heard it works but would probably forget to get mine out... Plus they would have to go to the venue the night before so would probably 'defrost' before they got lit...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... Just a quick note - Ikea have some scented candles in packs of 42 for 49p.
Wrap them, freeze them and they'll burn merrily all night!Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
