We bought a Panasonic DVD Ram from Richer Sounds a few weeks ago for £199 and lurve it. At least everyone else does, it seems to sulk for me and not record anything I ask it to! Salesman tried to persuade us to go up another £100 for another Panasonic but this one does everything we want.try richersounds.co.uk

The Ram thing is stupendous! We tend to record lots of what we watch these days, just so that if the phone goes we don't miss anything. We can start watching from where we left off and 'catch up' in the ad breaks. Does that make sense?
Since this is coming in under your budget, you could buy a few RAM DVDs for immediate use.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
