Tax Refunds Direct

Hi folks. I have been getting email updates from Martin for a while but this is the first time on the forum, please be gentle with me!! I saw this link for TAX REFUNDS DIRECT on Facebook today http://www.taxrefundsdirect.co.uk/Claim_Child_Tax_Credits.aspx and it looks a bit too good to be true. Has anyone came across this site before or heard anything about them.

Many thanks
Colin

    Welcome to the forum.

However please try to use the search function before posting to see if anyone else has asked the same question. There was a thread about exactly the same question only 10 days ago.

Just do it yourself, they take a large % of your money, a letter /call to HMRC does it for free and you get all the money.

Hi i would just like to say i have tried a company recently called empire refunds and was amazed at how quickly and efficently the company dealt with my claim. You can find them at empirerefunds.co.uk, Believe me these guys are worth a look .:T

I know this person has revived an old thread but wanted to emphasize this.

To those people who genuinely are interested in claiming a refund of tax from HMRC I would advise you either to phone your tax office or make an appointment at your local HMRC Enquiry Centre. Staff will advise you, free of charge, what information you need to provide to make that claim.

You do not need to employ/pay any of these companies to this for you.

the .co.uk gives it away as 'not official' and therefore a potential scammer....if it was .gov.uk it would be a gov dept/quango

even .org.uk can potentially be a scam so be careful....

best advice is to actually google the website address and see what you get
