So far I have spent £5 on Gas.. but I am heading to the shopping centre  later on to get some fruit so will try and stick to the market and ignore all the lovely window displays.
Plus they have the City's annual fireworks display this evening and the fun fair is there.. you think there will be any chance that the kids wont notice!

Nothing here so far... but I'm going over to my friend's for a few beers later, then heading into town, so I expect I'll spend the best part of £20.
Not too worried, as I've had a very cheap week, and my budgeting is going very well.Personal ISA Contributions Challenge - current £0 (as at 1 April 2014) / target £15,000 (deadline 31 Mar 2015)0 -
I went to Farmfoods to do a food shop (mostly stuff for OH's meals while I'm dieting) and spent £13.59. I do really need to get some petrol too as am on the red light now.Yesterday is today's memories, tomorrow is today's dreams

Took DS1 to his swimming lesson, but that had already been paid for

Went to Sainsbury's as had to get weekly shop and a b-day prez. Now normally I shop online so there are no impulse buys but today had the whole Reece posse with me
and ended up spending nearly £30 over our usual amount!! Never mind, now I know why I don't do it very often.
Then spent £4.55   in Starbucks for a latte and frappucino!!
All in all an expensive weekend, but I refuse to buy any more food this week (apart from essentials if we run out)!!Mortgage-free wannabe!0 -
Well I was doing really well up to an hour ago when I had spent only £5, then headed to my local market and bought 3 pineapples for £1 a cyphon for £4.99 to clean the fish bowl ( tried to do it myself and had a close shave with one of the fish  )
an £2.00 on penny sweets for the kids..
I suppose not bad really £12.99..... but heading to the fire works display.. Not holding my breathe!MFWB

I went fruit and veg shopping at the market for the first time today! As it turned out, I didn't really need any as we have lots, so I just bought a bowl of sprouts for £1. Then in Tesco I compared it to their £1 bag and was pleased to see that I got more!
Also, mine looked more natural and chunky.
It was a bit daunting because I like to take my time, browsing and thinking (do I really need this, etc). I just need to write down what I want in advance, I think, until I am used to it.
Also I bought my Xmas cards for £2.99 (for absent friends only), and a £1.49 bottle of body lotion. And £23.26 for a weeks food. £27.74 all together.
Oops, also a book of stamps. £1.80, so thats £29.54.0 -

I find that you get a lot more for your money on the market when it comes to fruit n veg. And if you go later in the day they sell everything off even cheaper! cause they have to get rid of everything.MFWB

OK - I'll have to be careful though, as I'm never quite sure what time they pack up. Perhaps I'll lurk in Superdrug and watch (no I won't really!)
At the market in my granny's town, I got a top for £3. I guess the downside is that you can't try it on, but it was my size and stretchy so at £3 I took the risk. And it's great! I think I am a market convert.0 -
And the veggies at the market are vastly more tastey than at the chain supermarkets. Tomatoes taste like tomatoes, bananas are firm and fresh etc.0

I thought that might be the case. I was sad to find that I still had some of last weeks sprouts in the fridge this evening, so I had to use them instead and have to wait til tomorrow to try the market sprouts.
I do like sprouts, a bit too much really
