The 0% may not be a no - I got one but just for a lower amount than I wanted. also they offered OH who earns less than me an interest free transfer the same week which seems really illogical. See if partner can get a card even if you struggle? Sometimes it works....

Oh so they might write to me offering one with a diff rate?

Never thought of OH getting a 0% card... Although she doen't earn a wage, but may have to try that one...

Had a result back from Virgin.....

    Big fat No!!!!

Anyhow, Spoke to my bank to set up a 2nd current account.

It will be my "bills" account, so when i gewt paid, a big chunk will come out then all that is left will be for Food, Diesel and other living expenses...

    Is this a good idea?

    Thanks

    Morning all...

At work again this weekend, Get the OT in!

Paid another £600 off HSBC card yesterday. and a couple hundred spread out over the other 3 cards.

Ive now applied for 3 0% cards with no luck, so ill just leave it as it is.

Also had a big row with my partner over money being spent willy nilly, its not her fault as near enough all of the debt is over my stupidness..

    Must try harder...............

    Have a nice day

    Hi mbs1

Great news about the new baby!

I just wanted to give you a friendly warning about applying for too many credit cards - I am attaching a link to Martin's article about avoiding getting into a 'rejection spiral'.
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/banking/credit-rating-credit-score

You should also have a look at his article about credit cards - Virgin is linked to MBNA which is why you may have been rejected for Virgin card.

Good luck with the DFW journey - all the extra over-time will really help to put a dent into those CC debts.
