Hello.
I will try not to bore everyone to death but can someone help me a bit.
I had a house reposessed in sept 05.It was sold at a profit of £57,000 after auction and all court fees paid.I have only recently chased up this money and generally have been a complete plonker after divorce and hence repossesion, debt, etc.I have a mortgage again now, taken out with BMI solutions,I went through a F.A,he sorted everything out,but I am tired of not knowing where I stand with credit etc,I have no idea what my credit history is as I keep burying my head.I for my own peace of mind need to wake up and start to tackle things from my past.I am not looking for a get out clause,I do want to confront my past debts and am wondering which agency is best to contact or should I go for the credit check where they do all 3 for a fixed price?
I am not "technically"in debt now,as in I pay all my bills, mortgage, childminder, and have not used my overdraft for 4 months at all.But I know I am from the past. How long will my repossesion be active on my files,I don,t owe the building society anything but it was still a repossesion, and I must be in debt in reality and want to start confronting it as it plagues me all time.Anybody been in same position or have some advice.thank you.

Hi,
I had some advice of national debt line who advised that info about repossession stays on your credit file for 12 years. Someone else may come along and clarify this0
