Download our free Revive and Survive driver rest MP3 because if you drive while you are tired there's a far greater chance that you'll fall asleep and have an accident.
What's more, if you do fall asleep and crash, you're more likely to suffer serious injury because you didn't brake. An estimated 350 people a year are killed where the driver has fallen asleep at the wheel. Yet many motorists continue to drive when they know they are sleepy. Opening the window or turning the radio up will do little to help you stay awake.
As soon as you are aware of feeling tired or sleepy, find a safe place to stop and take a break from driving.
The Revive & Survive Driver Rest session has been devised by the Road Safety Unit of Hertfordshire County Council to help drivers get the maximum benefit from a 20 minute break from driving. The recording, which uses pulsing tones to help you relax more deeply, more quickly, is designed to reduce your tiredness, increase your concentration levels and improve the standard of your driving. Find somewhere safe to park, listen to the Driver Rest session (on either CD or Mp3 player) and simply relax.
