Which hand cream?

Can the fellow MSE lady members suggest what the best value for money hand cream is?
I have tried tons of them over the years and have one favourite but it is a Clarins one and is just sooo expensive.
I hate
NB: Suggestions from male MSEers are of course also welcome, but only if you understand the female psyche when it comes to hand cremes

I hate
- highly perfumed ones
- the ones that leave your hands slippery like an ice rink
- those that take ages to rub in
- the clearly useless ones that leave your hands feel tight and dry
- those that come with a stinking price tag [like my Clarins one]

I am glad you put that nb at the end otherwise it would have been a very sexist post.
Anyway I am male and for many years I was a window cleaner so I had my hands in water/fairy liquid all day every day in all weathers, the best hand cream I found was from lush it is called "helping hands" £4.70 for 100g. I found it so good that I even wrote to lush to tell them.0 -

Could I suggest a cheaper alternative?
Smother hands in regular vaseline and wear a pair of gloves ( woolly ones ) to sleep and repeat when need.
This aplies to feet too.0 -

Like that, especially for the feet (though won't even think about what it could do to romance...).
Do you need to wash the mits/socks after every use or can they be re-used several times?0 -

I'm using aqueous cream at the moment, I have really dry hands and it seems really good. Very cheap too and available everywhere.0

I have tried allsorts over the years but have found that e45 lotion is good for my hands (as well as the ends of my frizzy mop
) . The creams are too rich and leave my hands feeling greasy.

I like Holland and Barrett Aloe Vera Gel ("Bio Active Skin Treatment - 99.9% Soothing Hand Filleted Organic Aloe Vera Gel" it says on the tube). I also use it on minor burns and on my face under moisturiser as a booster)
Very good value at £5 for 200ml and it is often on offer at half price!
For something a bit more luxurious try Liz Earle's Hand Repair from QVC - the advantage with purchasing from them is, if you don't like it, they have a 30 day money back guarantee so you only lose the cost of postage.

For Clarins Hand Cream try e-bay. Lots of people sell the free-gift sizes there. Neutrogena is my favourite, I've also just tried Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Hand Cream and think Neutrogena is just as good at less than half the price.0
