BOGOF on (quality) loft insulation at Wickes (plus nice Quidco bonus!)

I'm determined to reduce my bloody fuel bills so have been looking at loft insulation to install myself before the cold weather starts. My net meanderings led me to www.wickes.co.uk and their Easy Lay (ooerr ) non-itch loft insulation. It's 150mm thick and encased in plastic to avoid the awful itch you get with the 'exposed' stuff.

£32.49 per pack which covers a shade over 6 square metres, BUT it's currently on a BOGOF so 2 packs for £32.49. Free delivery over £45 as well. I went through Quidco for 4% cashback but it's tracked as 4% on the 'standard' price, i.e. twice as much as it should have! :money:

Next day delivery as well (the local Wickes store wanted £23 for delivery :eek: ) I think it's a bargain.

Thanks for that, I was about to do the same. I noticed that B&Q were doing the Knauf top-up insulation for £5.99 but they are much smaller rolls, and I think Wickes are matching on price, but you cannot order online.

I only need about 20 sq m, so 4 rolls is slight overkill, but it won't harm to have double-double insulation on a few sq m!

It's a little more than the Knauf, but with Quidco and free delivery, it has to be better for me (I don't have a car).

I believe it's on BOGOF promotion until 23/9/08 ...it certainly is in-store.

If you order 2 you will actually get 2 and be charged £32.49. BUT as the order will be under £45 a delivery charge will apply. If you order 4 the charge will be £64.98 and the delivery will be free. You will also get £5.29 Quidco cashback

What's the tracking time with Quidco? I placed my order at 01:20 and it's not showing yet.

It is Bogof on all rolls of loft insulation instore. Printed in the last offers brochure ( that ended 10th Aug) and is continued in latest catalogue which runs as above till 23rd Sept, so could continue into Autumn if it is a warm one.

Dont forget B & Q do a price promise for you Wednesday 10% discount shoppers. There is a small notice in our BnQ that says 50% off rolls,( theirs are £33.99 though), so if you need 3 then that is a possibility for the 3rd, instead of having to buy 4 at Wikes.

Thank you I didnt think I was going mad.
I spotted the £5.99 for a roll at B&Q online at the weekend and dragged my mother along to bring the bill down to just under £100 with her discount today.
Instore price £16.98, naturally we walked out and I couldnt quite believe that I had missed a 1 at the front of the price so checked their website and that now shows the same 200% rise.
Am I being cynical? Its coming up to a bank holiday weekend, its 10% discount day for the older folk and 'you know how confused you get you must have missed the 1 off the price'.
I'll be watching the price over the next few weeks to see how immoral B&Q are.
