Hi guys, im new to here so first i would like to say hello!
I'm currently struggling with my MBNA credit card as i am paying £100 direct debit each month but only about £30 is going off it which would be ok but i am over my limit by £400 and the call centre staff dont seem to be very helpful. I explained to them that i no longer have the card (i cut it up months ago). I missed a few payments due to some personal problems which eventually led to me losing my house but i am now ok to pay the £100 a month as they requested but obviously the overall balance is not going down and i will be over my limit for years. I called the call centre and asked to speak to my account manager and was told by the 'im so much better than you' lady that none of my 4 account managers were available to talk to me. She didnt care that i have other bills so i cant afford more than the £100 and that i obviously need more going off my balance, her words were that i should be grateful that they are willing to let me pay the £100 and not have to pay it all in full. Any advice would be great! My credit rating is terrible at the moment and i cant get any credit cards esp 0% ones and i cannot get a loan for the total amount i owe. I just feel as though im still sinking even though ive given up my house to try and get out of this mess.

Hi Welshchick84, and welcome!
Someone who's in the know will be along to give you some advice shortly I'm sure. I just wanted to say hi in the meantime and let you know I once spoke to a 'I'm better than you lady' at MBNA too. I have given up speaking to them - they are automatons. It's not their fault - they just read what the script says I guess. I deal with them only in writing now.
Best of luck! X0
