Cancelling Sky

Apologies if this has been brought up a zillion times before - but if I cancel my sky (which I want to) what happens to the box and dish? do they collect it?

also - with the digital tv coming in what do I need to do?

Hi they are able to ask for the dish back, and normally send an engineer round to come and get it. they may give you the freeview sky box for free, however you may havre to make a one off payment for one. sometimes they do not ask for the original box back. your other alternative is freeview.

They will not ask for the sky box or dish back unlike other suppliers they are yours to keep,
I know because i used to work for sky ,
If you cancel your sky service you wiill be able to get certain channels (free to air ones)

i would suggest you cancel over the phone, as they have a specific dept to deal with cancellations, and you may find they offer you a better deal to persuade you not to cancel

Just support the Sky worker, yeah, I didn't have Sky+ box or dish taken either

I only said what i did as when i cancelled sky+ admittedly a few years ago, they came and took the box back and gave me a normal one to watch the free to view channels.
