house value

another question.

How does the OR value houses. I have had three estate agents round to value mine and they are similar. One agent has written to me with the value.

Would they accept this or will he employ another surveryor to value it

They will, probably, accept your valuation - tell them that you have had three valuations.

My trustee 'valued' my house purely on the latest 'selling prices of house in my area - I did not query it as I felt that my house was worth considerably more than his 'valuation', but he did give me the option of either agreeing with his valuation or getting an independent valuation.

The issue with my valuation is that we have structural problems that reduced the value by around £60,000.

They are real issues and I can not afford to repair them at the moment even with insurance

Then that will, of course, reflect in the price, and your OR should accept this. He is, you should say, welcome to pay for a survey.
