I can understand why they wouldn't let you use the 50% off coupon as it's actally 91% off off the reduced price of £1.65 because the barcode is preset at £1.50.

But you could argue the point with the £1 ones as these are standard Money Off Coupons (MOC)

Decidedly amateurish Boots shop today...

2 x special k bars (my new low spend item)

Newly printed Mitchum vouchers would not scan at SS till. Tried both versions of the £1.50, frantically waved them at till but not a sound was made. Told the SA but she just looked gormless and said I'd have to do them through normal till and offered to void my basket so I could queue up (massive massive queue as well!!) and do it there. I told her to leave it as I "wasn't bothered" (true, deodorant is one thing I do not have stockpiled). But what really makes me mad is that in the confusion I managed to post my TD mag coupon through the slot before realising I'd got wrong window up and that the points wouldn't be added.:mad:

I'm gonna do a massive Boots shop tomorrow. Wish me luck. I'm taking a few extra bags with me just in case. I'm gonna try the Long Hair TS thing too. Hope it works. Some of the people on the tills in the Leeds store are evil, and I know they won't let me use them. Oh well. Will give it a shot all the same. Wish me luck y'all.

There are no 2 for £7 signs in either of the Boots I go to, yet that is what they ring up as before the mag coupon is used. Lots of sale prices are never marked in the boots I go to. It almost certainly is on sale in yours too -- just take it to the till and see what it rings up as.

I frequent most of the norfolk stores and tend to find the best reductions in the small to medium sized ones. The Norwich Chapelgate store is all perfumes and posh makeup - never anything reduced - but imagine the rents in there are astronomical :rolleyes:
