Trip to Beverly Hills for 5 nights by filling in a form in a magazine. Ended up not costing a penny to stay in a 5 star Hotel on Rodeo Drive - spending money was included so we also went up to SF for a day to see my favourite city in the world too. Went to see LA Galaxy, Universal, Hollywood Blvd, etc, etc. Really had the time of my life but it's given me a taste for 5 star living! Came back her to 8p ASDA noodles for dinner!
I've had crap luck over the past few years, and I reckon this was just nature's way of treating me to something very very special.Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -

Right, there's not many of us platinum-ers, so we'd better do it good!
I've got £77 to add that arrived in the bank yesterday from a Paypal account I only use for Lightspeed surveys. Been saving it up for a while - now paid it off the Egg card.
I made £36 on a freebie bet tonight, which I'll count when it gets back in the bank, similarly a £9.98 profit courtesy of Hugh Heffner and his bizarre casino that just seems to hand me 4 free tenners in cash every month. No idea why they do it as I just withdraw it every time.
£20 Waitrose vouchers arrived from Pigsback and £70 Tesco Club vouchers (£280 in deals to the holiday fund) - I'll count the £70 if I can as I'm saving them up but it's still free money that took a bit of effort to get.
The total so far is therefore £157 with £45.98 pending. A good start I'd say - keep going everyone!0 -
£2 win from a free bingo site, payment from GFK and a book sale on Amazon. I jsut take the postage cost off my total challenge fund so far, and then add on the Amazon payment when it arrives - same with ebay too.ilovefreegle.org - give it away don't throw it away0

My items end on Ebay tonight, so I hope they do well! 6 out of 8 are selling at the moment...Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Hi MM
Thanx for starting this challenge, was so looking forward to it and nearly missed it lol. I'm going to aim for silver (£2008), but am hoping to do better, but don't want to feel disappointed if I don't make it, so will settle for silver.
So far I'm off to a flying start, got £590 this month in overtime and backpay for April to August, not much backpay though. I have also saved £76.87 by not smoking. Given up for just over 5 months now, can't believe I finally did it! So that makes it £666.87 so far. Really want to do this as I would love to pay off another credit card by the end of the year! and maybe even save some money for another NY trip in January 2009.
Well done everyone and good luck with the challenge.
Cheers
Casper
