Hello
Having loverly wonderful falling apart sofa recovered (perhaps) - told lady coming to see me to bring samples, which were very nice. And this sofa is old and wonderful, but I think to be honest it (like me) needs professional help!!
BUT want something organic/natural/hardwearing and whilst the samples were 'nice' they weren't anything that would set me on fire (in a nice way, lady was extremely helpful).
Just thinking if upholsery fabric is about gulp £14 a metre, (still cheaper than a new sofa) then I want something as sustainable, beautiful, hardwearing and as organic as I can.
Anyone any ideas thinking something robust, calico-esk, plain (ish) ifnot plain????? Of course needs to be upholsery quality. ...............

Hi fayjmck,
Not sure if these do anything strong enough:
http://www.thehempshop.co.uk/
Here's another one but they don't seem to supply fabrics:
http://www.organic-furnishings.co.uk/home.html
This is their fabrics page:
http://www.thehempshop.co.uk/subcat-4-12.htm
but they might be worth contacting.
Here's a directory search from ethical junction:
