For example I have never bought a new 3piece suite. At the moment I have a two seater settee, new £700, 2nd hand, two years old, LIKE new, £60. An american 4' dia. table, (extends) with 4 balloon back upholstered chairs, superb quality, £150. Oak filing cabinet,1930's £20. A dresser, old charm, web offer price at moment over £1500, I paid £100. List goes on, right down to fridge freezer £40, washing machine £40, Bush chrome toaster, like new, fiver. Ironing board, again like new,£4 (criteria I use, as you may have noticed, must be......like/near new)Where do I shop you may ask? lol ........I shop for household items at outlets that do house clearances. The nearest/biggest one to me is in Haynes Bedfordshire, "secondhandalley". I have bought SO many items from there, saved myself a fortune. I do like the "recycling" side to things too. There's likely to be something similar near to you? Worth a thought.

We bought this at full price and it's nice to look at but for us ended up being totally impractical. It chips really easily and weighs an absolute ton!!
