Your credit rating will depend on a number of things and different lenders have different 'scorecards'
If you are earning 20k+, have a permenant address, have a permenant job, are on the electoral roll, have a good payment history on credit card, mobile bill or other credit then don't see why you should be refused.
You you know why you were rejected?
Is your credit file likely to be clean?
Who do you bank with?

hmm well hubby tried but he isnt on the electoral roll(havent a clue why lol)
so maybe thats why he was refused.
We are with the woolwich,yes earn more than £20,000 a year,probably double that between us.
Have never had a credit card,so have no debts there.No Mobile bill either as my phone is a pay as you go.0 -

Credit people are funny people - they take electoral role as gospel so if you're not on it they can't track you - students often get caught out by this (but just use parents address) - so if there's no good reason for him to be "hiding" from them then get him on electoral role - if there is a reason then he can hardly expect them to lend him money0
