Friday 15/08/08 What small dfw things have you done today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Today I will:

• update spreadsheets
• check online banking
• do clicks
• Make a loaf in breadmaker
• Storecpboard lunch
• Cook tea for oldies at work and eat for free
• Move some money into savings - payday today:j
• Put off filling up petrol in car for another day - not use car:D

Have a job interview at 930am for a Sunday job - its in a hotel so if get it hope it also means discounted breaks and gym membership Went well I think but she did mention lots of applicants so not very hopeful. Should hear by end of next week

Transfer paypal money to bank account from ebay sales done

Got my sister visiting til Tuesday now so wont get very much done. Try not to spend too much while she is here!!

Doing some free bingo then I'm off to bake for sisters arrival!

Went to town and reisted costa coffee. having one at home now instead..not quite the same though is it?!!

Have a good day actually have a good weekend as I prob wont be on here again til tues!

Hello!

pub was fun and very very needed! kept the spends as low as possible.

tonight I'm heading out for dinner with a friend. we opted for the fixed price pre-theatre menu. Other than that...

Today I have/will
-check the bank (will more than likely still be skint)
-check my mobile phone spend
-out for lunch as its friday but I'll be opting for a lighter/cheaper option with going out later
-charge my phone at work (will last me all weekend if I do)


not a good DFW day but relaxing and fun and needed hopefully.

I am at home today so will be reading up on the daily clicks by EagerLearner.

I have already posted this on the payment a day thread, but I am so thrilled I want to tell you guys too! Yesterday I shopped round for a car insurance quote found one £40 cheaper, called my current insurers to see if they would match it. They did and knocked of another £10 for loyalty :jI am putting the £50 against my Visa debt. Very happy!!

- check online banking
- list more books on Amazon
- make an overpayment on a debt
- work on sept budget (cant believe we are halfway through aug already!)
- work out what bits of school uniform I need to replace before dd goes back

Morning All :hello:
Well I appear to have had 4 NSD's in a row:rotfl: I'd intended to go shopping every day - but either couldn't be bothered or something else intruded. I should go to Lidls, but maybe I'll go tomorrow and have a FIFTH NSD :eek: today
So today I have/will:

• done piggy clicks.
• write to 2 credit card companies to close the accounts
• send out e-bay parcel
• list some more on e-bay
• clear the front garden today while there is a forecast for dry weather - rain tomorrow :mad:

Lovely day here as well - today I am going to - do 2 quick washes and hang on line to dry have my 10th NSD cook from scratch do daily clicksand wacth the olympics
