FIRSTLY...tealady how come u always have the best ideas???.....im a new saver and i think u must b saving me a fortune!!

was having a poo day 2day had planned to spend nothing and again spent a few pounds here and there :( but hey good news when i came home from work 2nite......my boyfriend bought tickets to see a band 2day and instead of purchasing 3 the ticket company charged him for 6?!? so he sed he was going to send them bk and i sed well first see how much they r going for on ebay?! so WOOOOOHOOOOO they were bought for £45 and are selling for at least £120 :D:D:D he has 3, he is selling two to pay off some debts of his own as he is due to finish work on saturday but agreed to sell me one ticket at face value so i could sell it and get some FAB profit :D:D so hopefully £80+ into the bronze award fund :D YIPEEEEE

My other ebay stuff aint selling tooooo well, a few people watching but out of 16 items only one bid at 99p :( not so good really never mnd fingers crossed for some more in the next few days!

Gonna make my payment for 2day then hit the hay i think....busy day 2moro having lnch with my sister and baby neice, my sisters turn to buy though so hopefully a realtively cheap day maybe even a nsd?!?! il try my best!

Im so psyched about these concert tickets though :D cheered me up big style!

hope u r all having inexpensive days!

Its Friday at last :D I have been a whole week without buying ne clothes (xcpt for black socks for work 7 pairs for £2 PRIMARK, GODSEND!)...usually the day of payday i take myself shopping buy nice things then i go down town everyday after that i greedily buy more....and more....and more! but i am no longer greedy!

Went out yesterday with my sister and neice, my sister bought us lunch :D and i gave my neice a wee £5 pocket money which i usually give her if we go to the shops i bought socks for work and had to replace my empty makeup but i had a £5 off voucher for No7 at boots so used that and got my makeup a good bit cheaper. Got another 2 vouchers so I am gonna just stick them on ebay coz i wont use them and noticed they were selling for a couple of pounds which will all b put towards my total :D

got a phonecall 2nite asking if I wanted a job at a big insurance company - a processor role, not sure what exactly i would be doing but it would b full time so hmmmm that or uni?!!? i think im gonna stick with uni, gonna fone the girl that foned me through the weekend though to c exactly what the job would involve and stuff......

not much else to report never managed a nsd AGAIN 2day and its nearly the end of august  i have only done 1/5....i need to get my backside in gear i think! Bought crisps and sweets since it was friday night and my bf is away out so a nite at the tele aint that exciting without some chocolate :D ALSO paid ALL my credit card bills for the month :D well over the minimum payment for all of them....cancelled all direct debits coming out of my account bar my car and my fone so i know what im paying for and i can change the payments for my credit cards etc. :D

Going to spend the rest of the nite puting some MORE items on ebay as i have neglected it the last few days, im gonna watch all the rubbish on the television and maybe even do my fake tan! i do enjoy nites to myself :D

working 2moro....so challenging myself to a nsd i think!
How r we all doing this week???

Hey Ally just wanted to say good luck with you challeges you seem to be making quite a turn around its hard at the begining but it does get easier and the little stuff like mags pop and sweets make such a difference over a long period of time and since you have cancelled your DD's make sure there is not a non DD charge for paying by another method and make sure you dont miss the payment days as they charge you.... i set up a dd for the min payment then pay more if i can but dont have to worry about missing the date..... Good luck and keep posting in your diary it helps.

Sorry...neglected my diary for a few days there.....

I HAVE PAID AROUND £100 of debt :D and saved £50 and have a fair bit of money in my paypal account......all in 2 weeks :D go me!! Im gonna have to keep up this saving :S one more month of full time work then bk to uni  ne advice????

sticking myself on a ten pound allowance from now till next wednesday...not sure how that will work but want a couple of nsd's and dont need to go newhere/buy nething so i figured £10 is enough for emergencies and stuff. My car is full of petrol and the only thing il really b doing is going to work, been off the last 2 days so spent some pennie (not 2 much)

how is everyone else going??? still spend free??? its difficult - probably the most difficult thing EVER! its these stupid credit cards they stress me out and all for nothing, but for the first time they r all paid for the month noone foning me demanding payments etc which is nice

newayz not much to say :( working away, sticking tons on ebay and thats about all! x x

Hi Ally. It's not that I have good ideas, I just take them from all the lovely peeps who post on these boards. This site is a mine of useful info on how to have a champagne life on a lemonade budget

Ally, I know of a website that allows you to send plenty of free text messages to anyone in the UK. It should help you save a bit more on that phone bill. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post the link, otherwise I'd share it with everyone.

PM me if you want the link.

    hey ally,

just read your diary. wanted to say goodluck with everything. i have just finished uni myself and came out with only £400 debt 0% for next 2 years. PHEW.

I suggest that you keep A SPENDING DIARY. That way you will know where your money goes. it might be shocker to begin with but it helps to keep you focused.

    Good luck...j
