So sorry if it is, but here goes.
I'm a bit stunned by what's happened today, but here goes:
I've been with my bank 8 years with no problems at all, but went in at a rather busy time after a fairly heavy drinking session recently and had a (non violent) argument. Result: went in today and after withdrawing £50 they tried to drag me into an interview room at the exit; I refused because I was extremely busy and they said they were going to close my account, which has a £3000 overdraft facility that I need.
Surely there has to be a procedure I can use to complain about this and at least stall whilst I prepare some sort of defence? However, I am very busy at the moment and if there is I have no idea what it is, and it's not like this sort of thing has happened before, and I've been with them for ages. Can anyone offer any advice? Thanks.

Find the time. What can be more important than the destruction of your finances?
You will not solve any problems by running away from them.0 -

Could you be a bit more specific, you are (deliberately?) somewhat vague.
Do I get it right: you were drunk, you had an argument (with one ore more of the staff?), it didn’t end in fisticuffs,
but I presume you were verbally quite aggressive and insulting. Was security and/or police called?
Were you escorted off the premises?
I think it is understandable, the bank wants your assurances that kind of thing will never happen again?
You refused to apologize for your behaviour, so the bank is not willing to deal with you as a customer any longer.
If the scenario was like that - can you blame the bank?0
