Mortgage for house abroad Help needed!!!

Hi all,
I am building a house abroad, and need to get a mortgage to carry on building. I already own a decent plot of loand and have a foundation on it, which is now valued at around 60-70k, and need around 90k to finish it. I also have around 5k of my own money. Banks I bank with are prepared to lend me 100k but for a house in the UK. Banks abroad (in my native country) are prepared to lend me but only around 50-60k,
So please I need to find a bank in the UK that will lend me 90k (I have a very good credit rating in the UK) (thanks to MSE!!!) but the only problem may be that the property is abroad.. So please HELLLLP...
Many thanks in advance!!

I think Lloyds will provide a mortgage overseas.
If not, google mortgages overseas (on the Uk site) and you will be provided with plenty of companies though I have no idea what their rates are.
Its much easier to get a mortgage in the country that you are building your house in (and possibly at better rates) but in your circumstances it seems that thats not the best option.0 -
Do you have a property in the UK?
If so can you raise some money against that property?I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. hi, thanks for your replies, No I havent got a property in the Uk, thats what makes it more difficult.. I can get a loan but most of the time they only allow you to borrow 25k, and ususally at higher rate than mortgage, and as i said i need about 90k. I know there are companies that do lend you money against properties abroad, i am just not sre where to find them
any idea??
