Another online SOA Question

I am stuck with a couple of sections in the online SOA form.

Section 3.2
Endowment & Life Polices.

Does any other person or oraganisation hold security over policy?

What does this mean? My husband and I have a joint insurance policy - does that mean that he holds security over the policy?

_________________________________________________

Section 4
Unsecured Creditors

What was the debt for?

What do I write in this box?

Thanks for your help

Thanks for the replies. You guys have been very helpful. My SOA is now 92% complete. All I have left to do now is update it if I get any more letters before our bankruptcy date (incase creditors adds more charges), print it out ans sign it.

    One more question.
My DH & I are both going bankrupt. Our only income is Benefits. How does this affect things when working out our income and outgoings?

My Husbands Gets Income Support for both of us and our four children.
Child Benefit is in my name.
DLA is in my DH's name.
Housing Benefit & Council tax benefit is in my name.

Do I add it all together and put the same amount on both SOA's.
    Household Expenditure covers entire family.
I know his debts go on his SOA and my debts go on my SOA. The only debt we share is an overdraft - that goes on boths forms?

    Do we add

Seeing as you are both going bc and both only have benefits as income i would just put the same down for both of you. But i will get peachy the expert to give it a once over.D

I wouldn't worry about updating it, I did mine about 2 months before BR, the whole amount will be included anyway so if you're a few pounds out it doesn't matter.

Sounds like you've got things under control. Good luck!

    Thanks D:D

Jaks, add your benefits together and put them as your income, then put your OH's benefits in the 'contribution by others' box, and vice versa on his forms. Otherwise if they read the 2 forms together they could come to the conclusion that you both get the total of all benefits each. Not that they could make you pay an IPA, but it paints a clearer picture.

Thanks peachy:A . I was not too sure if it still worked the same way for benefits. I thought that was how jaks should put it down but did not want to give the wrong info. Cheers mate.D:D
