Volunteers wanted for a TV documentary on freebie grabbing

A researcher from a TV company is looking for people to take part in a documentary on freebies and has asked me to post the following:
Do you enter every competition going or try to blag every freebie possible?
Perhaps you’ve got a room piled high with prize wins or free clothes?
Perhaps your obsession with entering competitions or bagging freebies is taking over your life and your family are tearing their hair out about it? Or maybe they’re glad because you’re providing them with a small fortune of goods.
If you are a true competition or freebie addict then please get in touch with us.
We are a TV company making a documentary on this very subject for one of the major UK networks and we’d love to hear from you. Please e-mail emma@cicadatv.com.

That doesn't sound to me like they are exactly, um, sympathetic to MSE'ers.
"addict"? "obsession"? "family...tearing their hair out"?
Hmmmm...I am imagining the end product..... anyone want to be pilloried on national tv as a sad loser?0 -

Yes folks this is poorly phrased but we'd never make anyone out to be a 'sad loser' as one lady has phrased it! We're proud of the documentaries we make and no one's ever complained before.
The documentary is simply following the lives of three people who are competition crazy. That doesn't mean they're losers. They're not breaking the law or doing anything bad. It just means that's their passion.
Most people have one thing they're devoted or passionate about.
And people that take part do get a fee.0 -

Thanks Emma, unfortunately I fit the sad loser category so wouldn't qualify lol

Hey all,
I have spoken with Emma and have been in email contact for a couple of weeks now.
I have sent a list of a various amount of freebies I have managed to get and also I have sent over a pic of me so that the production company could easily see if they wish to go ahead with the concept.
I have just spoken to emma now and she told me she will be leaving the project and will be handed over to a different journo and will contact me if they decide to go ahead with this.
I just have my fingers crossed now to see if it would go ahead, should be a fun few weeks filming a docu!!
Anyone else had any contact with Emma or Cicada??

Bet loads more people will start comping after watching it,which will decrease
our chances of winning LOL:rotfl::A :shocked::shocked: :A0
