i alwayz take all the different sims i get to the local phone shops, for example they tend to buy 1 o2 sim for around £2 and the other ones for around £1.50

far better profit than ebay ....best thing is, one of the shops is like opposite my college, so i can just nip across and flog them off :D hehehe

Is there a "use by" date on these sims?

Also on the O2 ones it states you need to put in £10 to activate it. Is this right or is there a way round it and just using all the free texts/minutes on the card?

I sell mine to a local shop. They sell them for £5, and pay me about £1.70 for them. They are more than happy to buy from me as
    a: Its all cash.
    b: I'm cheaper than wholesalers - apparently charge between £2.50 and £3!
c: At a wholesalers they must buy 100 of each network, but from me they only buy what they need.

I also find it good that if I spend the money in the shop than I get a 20% discount! So in theory 02 are paying for that bottle of vodka I bought the other day hehehe :p

    I wonder about this too!

I applied for them ages ago when they were giving I think 4 for free. I genuinly needed one (long story and don't need to explain myself to anyone), after that I have NEVER applied again, however, I regulary get them through the post. I have GIVEN them away to friends and family that have wanted them, my dh has taken several into work and GIVEN them away, however, we are moving shortly and I have to clear as much out as I can and am ebaying everything. tbh, I didnt think of giving them to a charity shop, my piles are ebay or rubbish bin!! That is why I sold the last of mine last night - I have no guilt over doing this and nor should anyone else who is selling them. Have I justified the sale enough?

    Effectively, no :)

The SIM will expire 6 months after it is first used, if you do not make a chargeable call (so you'll need to top up first), but whilst it has never been used, it has an infinite shelf life.

With so many free SIMs available, no one will want one where the pack has been unsealed. An unsealed SIM pack is considered a used SIM.

    Hi Guys,

One solution is that you can send them to me.

I work for for a voluntary organisation (Barnardos)... working mainly with Vulnerable runaway children and young people.

I normally give away all the sims to these Young people to aide their Safety and also send them to other services within Barnardos in the North.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Spikey, if I get any more through I will certainly send them onto you. I remember as a child having a barnardoes 'house' to fill with my pennies(for the fund, not for me!) - something I hadnt thought about in a long long time! lol.

    Thank you so much Julie....

Just for your info... The Barnardos Houses still exist, maybe not in nthe same style as you remember them but they are still around.

If anybody wants anymore info about Barnardo's or the work I do then please PM me.
