in Cutting tax
I have just started an Ltd and realise that I have a whole host of new tax deadlines now:eek:
Was wondering if there was a good list of Tax deadlines anywhere - particularly for businesses?
If not, which ones do you know of?
Will I be given plenty of notice of deadlines or am I simply supposed to know!

For most of the deadlines you will receive notice in some form so make sure you read all the official documents.
Off the top of my head -
As a new company you will receive an enquiry form CT41G which needs to be completed. Can't remember how long they give you but it is on the form.
Corporation tax (for a small company) is due 9 months after the accounting date and the return needs to be submitted within 12 months.
For Companies House you submit accounts within ten months of the accounting date (or 22 months from incorporation if that is earlier). The annual return is made up to the anniversary of the incorporation date and you have 28 days, I think, to file this.
Payroll - you pay the deductions monthly by the 19th of the following month. If you come under the Construction Industry Scheme the monthly returns are also due then. The end of year return (P35) has to be submitted by 19th May and the benefits declaration (P11D) by 6th July after the end of the tax year. National insurance on the benefits need to paid in July also. Can't remember exact date.
VAT - you must register within one month of breaching the turnover limit. You have one month to complete the regular returns unless you use the annual accounting scheme where you get two months.
They're the usual deadlines. Do you pay any other taxes specific to your industry? If it’s not important to you, don’t consume it0
