Hi all, any advice, comments gratefully recieved..
In about 6 months will be coming to the end of a 2 year fixed rate with a subprime mortgage, would like to leave the lender for a more 'traditional' lender. I have been clean of any late payments etc for the two years.. should this now be straight forward??!?!
is anything ever straight forward??

Really depends on what adverse history you had in the past, and what your credit file looks like now.
Two years of being "clean" will be good, but we'd have to see what problems you had in the past
Have you got an up to date copy of your credit file?I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Straight forward is a possibility as long as your income and credit status and property fit normal criteria.
Lenders like Accord can offer near prime deals, and others can offer prime deals where the adverse credit is historic. Its case of applying and see what happens0
