bloodshot eyes - soothing eye wash?

Have got red, tired eyes (no infection just lack of sleep and too much computer work)... they look pretty bloodshot which is rather embarrassing.
Anyone know of something I can 'rinse' my eyes with which I can make in the kitchen? Like a home-made Optrex type thing? Would salty warm water do the trick?
Thanks

A Greek friend of mine used to swear by cold camomile tea. Never tried it myself though.

Hello Olympika
As your eyes are very precious and home made remedies may do more harm than good; I recommend that you speak to either a Pharmacist or your GP for safe advice.;)
