Le Creuset indentification anyone?

Hi ppl
Today I went to Debenhams and bought some lovely pieces from the Le Creuset range, however they are discontinued and I dont know the name of the range and need more info.
They are black on the outside and include a skillet with a rough black internal surface so im not sure that its non stick? And two cassarole type dishes with glass lids.
However, they are unusual in that instead of having the normal half moon handles, they have a sort of 'T' shaped handle.
Now I need to know the name as I am hoping to use them as pans for cooking rice on a stove top, and then finishing them off in the oven, once I know what they are, I can check the useage instructions.
They arent proper pans as they have these small 'T' shaped handles, but surely they are ok to be used like this?
Thank you for any help, im really struggling to find these particular ones on the net, so maybe someone working at Debenhams may know?

Why do you hate them? I'm only asking because I was thinking of buying a set...0 -
Thank you, I looked on the FAQ but couldnt find my particular ones so I rang up Le Creuset and they said its because they are special order to Debenhams.
Yes I'd be interested in knowing why you hate the pans, i've just started to collect them, so reviews always welcome.
I only have a couple, they take ages to get warm but seem to do the job well, early days yet though and i've not tested them fully.0 -
Well I made a thai green curry and rice in the new pans and they were a delight!
Will be looking out for more of the range for sure!0 -
I have a couple of Le Creuset casseroles that I use in the oven and on the hob. Brilliant. They look gorgeous and are easy to clean, everything cooks well in them and they keep food hot.
Have to say they are heavy but I can carry a pan full of soup or stew in them and I'm a wimp. I also have a little saucepan and a lasagne dish (cast iron, not potterie) and they're just as good.
I like the fact they're 'safe' unlike aluminium or teflon coated, well maybe that's not a fact but I prefer to avoid them.0 -
I have lots of Le Creuset. My fave piece is the Tawa dish - a long shallow oblong cast iron dish with a handle at both ends.
Although it's meant for exotic Asian dishes it's brilliant for roast potatoes and veggies.
I don't tend to use much else apart from the casserole dish because, as you all say above, the saucepans are REALLY heavy."Life is like a game of cards. Take a look on Ebay I just bought a brand new 5 piece set for £45 in the box and complete with stand when I went to debenhams they were asking for nearly double the price!!!MFWB
Mortgage when started: £232,000
Current mortgage Sept 2024: £232,000
Mortgage free day: Sept 2029
Saving: £12k 20250 -
£45 gosh thats fantastic, i've not seen them go as cheap as that, you must have been very lucky as people usually pay nearly full price for them!
I'll start looking harder!0 -
And I bought a lovely kettle in cerise for £25
what I do is contact the seller and ask if they would consdier taking it off line so that you can do a buy now if nuy now is not already listed. Al lot of the time they just want the money rather than waiting for a 7-10 listin to end andit is coming up to Christmas so the want the cash ASAP.

So you mean if the five piece set was up at £45 you just ask them to accept £45?
If its like the ones I was looking at in Debenhams, then they are £200 with a special offer of £50 off at the moment so you should be patting yourself on the back, well done, im sooo jealous
PS are they brill to cook with?0
