Sewing Machine £59.99 at Tesco (merged)

Hi,im not sure if this is the right place for this so sorry in advance if its not.
I have been looking for a sewing machine for my daughter who is doing GCSE textiles.
I missed out on the Aldi bargain but have just found a basic model on Tesco extra online for £59.99 including delivery.
It seems like an okay price thought someone else might be interested as so many were after the Aldi one.
Sorry cant do links.can only just find my way around this site :D
I just put in a search for sewing machine and this one came up E@R classic.
I would be interested if anyone thinks its any good as i havent ordered it myself yet.

This is a great find. Wouldn't mind getting one myself. I wonder if you can make curtains with it ? Never owned one but, but certainly have a bash at making some.

Has anyone got any ideas if this is a good machine?

Any advice very welcome and appreciated.

I just bought a Toyota Classic Machine from Freemans by taking advantage of the 20% off for new customers - it was about the same price!
    Good brand too.
  • Argos did one for less than £20, I don't think it's in the new catalogue but if you ask instore they might have some left. I know they did when I asked.

Ive just logged onto Tesco online banking and they have this on my first page:

Credit Cards - Money back at Tesco.com
We'll give you up to £20 back when you buy electrical goods at Tesco.com using your Tesco Credit Card before 18th January 2006. Purchase £50 of electrical goods at Tesco.com using your credit card and we'll refund your account with £5. We'll also refund you £10 when you spend over £100 and £20 refund when you spend over £200.

This would make it even cheaper if you have a Tesco Visa.
