For all the people who have e.on as their energy supplier, they can request to freeze their prices until oct 2009 and also if the prices fall then yours do aswell.
and by doing this they give you this cool energy saving monitor which shows how much energy your house is using etc etc.
you have to calll them on 0845 302 3747 between 8am and 8pm
and request to be switched to the energy saver deal to recieve your energy monitor

is it free to freeze prices0

I can't remember all the specifics, but I know that with this particular capped rate, you have to pay to leave the contract. Whereas eon also have a capped rate where you are free to leave it any time, but don't get the monitor.
I phoned eon to make a switch (I had switched online to get my Quidco £55*), but found I'd mistakenly chosen the cheapest, non-capped rate. I asked the person I spoke to what she was on, and she said the non-monitor one because of the non-penalty on leaving.

*Why phone, when you can get £55 for the same thing going online via Quidco?0 -
I switched mine last month to the capped rate and got the £55 from E-on via Quidco. All went through very easily, all I had to do was send them a meter reading for both Gas and Elec. Haven't received the energy monitor yet.0

They probably meant the capped rate is no longer available!NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

I'm on their age concern plan
When I called to ask about capping I found it would mean I'd be on a considerably higher rate in order to do so
It looks like capping would bo good for some but uneconomical for othersIWasLookingBackToSeeIfSheWasLookinBackToSeeIfIWasLookinBackAtHer.....0 -
Does anyone know if this offer is still available? A friend of mine said she recently requested one from Eon. I'd like to think I'm legible seeing as I'm an existing customer.0
