Hi All

This afternoon I parked my car as usual to go to work, when I returned I found a sticker attached to my windscreen saying that they had immobilied my car and will remove it unless I ring one of two mobile numbers to pay an amount that was not specified. My car had no clamp on however the car infront did but did not have one of these stickers. There was one other car on the street that had a clamp but it had a sticker on the window. As my car didn't have a clamp and the only phone numbers were mobile numbers (the official address was a PO Box and the landline number had been striked out with ballpoint pen) I just drove off and removed the sticker from my windscreen.

The car was not illegally parked (off street parking), I have nothing outstanding on the car and I have had no tickets to pay, Are these people allowed to just clamp
someones car without any reason?
