The reviews of this make me laugh 'eggs taste great'-surely this depends on the egg and not so much the cooking! Also whats wrong with a saucepan and boiling water?? I love gadgets but my kitchen would be overrun with stuff in no time with all these pointless gimmicks! Theres hardly any space now with just the kettle, toaster, blender and George F grill!!What about inventing a baked bean cooker (each one has its own individual divot to rest in) or a soup boiler.......I see the teabag bins have already been done thankfully saving me a walk of 3foot to the normal bin.Happiness is wanting what you have, not having what you want.

Hmmh, I've been boiling my eggs for the last 30-odd years in a saucepan, saves buying an egg boiler, however much a bargain it might be
Egg boilers are, in my book, one of those useless gadgets that just use up space in the kitchen.
For egg boiling newbies, there are plenty of free egg boiling instructions on the Internet, e.g.

I am buying one for an elderly relative who is a bit forgetful and regularly
over boils eggs. A standing joke within the family.
A christmas present together with a book. This takes it over £15 and I get free postage.
Like you say it may end up in a cupboard along with all the other useless things
we don't use, but the thought is there.A clear conscience is usually the sign of a bad memory.0 -

OMG!! I thought my gf and her sis were crazy when they told me this last week. Twice in the kettle and voila!
I'm surprised they dont crack...A shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist.

Do you let it boil then wait a bit and boil it again or do you empty out the hot water, re-fill with cold and re-boil?Sorry.... I just need to know

The second option wouldn't be very energy efficient. My question is: doesn't it make your kettle smell of eggs? I wouldn't fancy eggy tea very much_pale_.
Anyway, while at first I thought this Bosch thing was gadgetry gone mad, I must admit it does look like quite a nifty device. Perhaps I'll buy one (alongwith a couple of copies of Martin's book) and give it to someone for Christmas.....0
