I think it really depends on the style of the dress, my underskirt made the dress, but my friend decided she didnt need one. You can get one quite cheaply on ebay and just try, and if you think it looks better without just resell it x Have you a picture of the dress? x0

I find dress looks better with a petticoat but if you are happy with the way your dress looks without the petticoat then leave it...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Hey Kimberly,
What i've found through trying on dresses both with and without hoops is that it not only makes the dress look better (if you like the fuller look) The other things to bear in mind is that it also makes it a whole lot easier to walk in as the dress is away from your legs and also it is going to be cooler if your lucky enough to have a nice day as the air can circulate.
All important things to consider if your going to be wearing it all day.

Hi ya,
Just looked at the photo, gorgeous dress by the way! I would def wear a petticoat with that style of dress, a simple a-line layered one personally.
I tried a Benjamin Roberts dress on, and it had a built in petticoat, seems strange yours doesnt, i thought all designer dress's from bridal shops came built in, or all the ones i tried on just had themmust of been lucky x

Mine has some petticoat layers in the skirt but not quite enough. I've got a 2 hoop for underneath which fills it out just enough.A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... Hi ya Kim, thats a really beautiful dress, I would try just a one hoop with this or you can get some that are just layers of tulle just to fill the bottom out.0

What a fabulous dress!
My dress had a few layers underneath and I did go with a petticoat/hoop as well and I was so glad I did, because when we got the photos back, taken from inside the church with me standing in the doorway, as it was such a sunny day the back light would have shone straight through the dress!!!!!!! Which is fine if you got great legs...............0
