The post I started with this thread is based on a genuine phone call I made at about 2pm yesterday. I do not work for Tenantloans. Believe me! I am on JSA and I'll be studying Egyptology hopefully at Liverpool Uni in September. How can I prove it? Tsk. Never mind.

So does anyone have any advice about Tenantloans?

They may be able to guarantee you a loan, but it may be a loan for £50 with an APR of 2000% repayable over 15 years with no option of early repayment. They have then kept their side of the bargain, if you decide not to go for it then you begin the battle to try and get your application fee back.

Just to get this straight, you quit your job and now you want to borrow money. Obviuosly I don't know your circumstances, but if you are off to Uni soon then I don't see why you have quit your job now. There are plenty of summer jobs around where you could earn a lot more than £300.

    :D

I quit my job because I could no longer live off £40 per week. So I quit and got full JSA which is about £60 per week. Summer jobs? Show me! I'm in the job center nearly everyday looking for jobs. There are no jobs, and certainly none that you can earn £300!!! Most people on full time jobs don't even earn that much.

I know. You missed the point of my reply.

There are replies in this thread telling you to avoid Tennant Loans but despite these replies, you are still asking for advice about them.

It comes across as though you are going to keep asking for any advice until someone says something good about them (It isn't going to happen unless some spam occurs)

I'm not going to keep asking. I have being warned not to give them my money; but on other forums people are saying that they are happy and got a good loan without hassle. So I need an unbiased reply to this thread. I don't think I will give them my money because they probably are a scam. I just could do with that £300.

You're obviously an intelligent guy with you looking at starting uni next month. Can I ask why you need this money?

As other posters have said what is stopping you from getting a job even if its part time. Liverpool has a large student population so employers are aware that students are always looking for work. This would surely pay more than JSA.

Also, how are you going to fund yourself through uni? I don't think full time students are elligible for JSA.
