What annoys you when moneysaving?

I realised today that I am increasingly frustrated if I pay for things that arent right, especially now when my money has to go further

Today: cream, coconut and stawberries from waitrose had gone off before their date

Had to pay £3 to park car at hospital (I resent this and even worse it cost more because they are so slow! surely a ploy by nhs to increase revenue!!)

Other day my sunday paper didnt have the mag inside

Just little things, dont get me started on rude shop assistants who make you think if only I can buy this elsewhere (take note estee lauder counter lady in leamington - who gave me a sample to try, on enquiring if it was correct colour I was told thats all i've got - whats the point!!, no attempt to explain to me before I asked)

my sister complaining about the cost of her weekly shop, asking for advice and then completely ignoring anything that gets said.

i wouldn't mind so much if she hadn't got me to 'help' her write a shopping list which took ages and than ignored the damn thing!!!!

and then moaning that she is skint, when she has a 'magic pot' that keeps replenishing as her boyf fills it up!!!!

My OH refusing to embrace a money saving life style and moaning endlessly when I try to save us money on the little things so that we have more for the fun things in life.

People! When they know you are in debt and they see you with something or you are going out for the day and they comment, I am in debt not dead, life is not about sleep and food there has to be quality - and that quality for me isin't costing the earth or depriving anyone but its keeping my sanity going!

Other people thinking I magic my money from thin air. They spend theirs then expect me to bail them out.

Quidco not paying me (funny how my "large" transactions are declined without explanation).

My pet hate is OH filling electric kettle to the brim for one cup of tea, then tipping the surplus down the sink:mad:

raspberries that go off in a day. Leftovers lunches that won't fit in my stupid stylish handbag. Paying £2 for the bus every day (even tho I paid £100 a month on my previous job).

But the main one is that I live on a dodgy estate so, as a girl, I always have to get taxis home. Even though they're cheap and short distance it's really frustrating having to choose between money saving and safety.

  • When you take something back for a refund, well within the date and with receipt and for some reason they say no and when you ask to see the manager, he says "well, Ill do it for you this time", as though he is doing you some huge favour.

When you get cut off just as your call is connected after waiting what seems like hours to get through.
