    TIA

Stupid me - I didn't think of Aldi - and I was in there earlier too!

    I'll definitely try that one.

    Many thanks,

For our everyday 'granary' Ihave a plastic box and tip in a 1.5kg bag of wholemeal (cheapest I can find),1kg granary (about 90p) and about a quarter of a bag of cheap plain white flour. Family prefer it made with just granary but the mix is an economy compromise.

For white, I buy white bread flour from Lidl or Asda (55p ish) and mix it about half and half with cheap white flour.

Do you reckon I could chuck in some ground nuts? My kids dont eat nearly enough of nuts/fruits/veg and I am sick of relying on vitamns to do the job for me. I'm thinking pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds etc.

I use "traditionally crafted stoneground plain unbleached flour" which is absolutely fabulous  OH gets it at cost price which saves us a bomb! :j It makes gorgeous bread and the toast is wonderful! :D cant make it fast enough!

Oh yes forgot to say its organic too ! ;)

  • Hi,

My first loaf is being kneaded as I speak, but I happened to notice that Costco were selling the Panasonic SD253 BM for just over £70 this morning. That's about £6 less than Amazon (itself cheaper than most since Tesco sold out).

Just in case anyone was thinking of getting one.

    Regards,

    White.
