asda jar of curry sauce only 5p

sorry i know this isnt really suposed to be on the os board, but i thought with everyone feeling the pich with food price hikes etc... i would post here as well.

went into asda last night for the first time in ages... and the value jars of curry suace were only 5p.

i dont know what they tase like, but if you dont like them you can easily re-vamp them..

i have also posted this on the grabbit board, just thought it might be of use to some peeps on a tight budget...like me...

    I've been Money Tipped!
    They are quite oily and sort of jelly like (same for their pasta sauce)
    You can bulk them out but it needs that something else which i have not found yet, lol

    Not bad 5p for a jar though, could put chutney in that
  • They are not too bad - very mild so good if you have kids who don't like it too hot.

    I put a small amount of chopped chicken and loads of veg in with it in the slow-cooker, and everyone enjoyed it - not as much as my home-made, but it is is cheap & filling......

    My asda has stopped selling this. I thought it was great for the money.
  • Just got back from Morrisons and they also have curry sauce for 5p never tried it before but it will do for BBQ if we ever get any nice weather lol.
