At that price I really wonder at whats in it & the quality of the ingredeitns........... . I know you can't assume something is good just because it's expensive but at that cheap you can almost gurantee it isn't IMHO:o

To quote your signature and not the curry sauce bit...... In SCOTLAND we too have Mother's Day & Santa Clause so i'm afraid it's not just the American's for a change. Did you ever maybe wonder if maybe it was the English who are wrong on this occassion! LOL!!!

Ticket price on the shelf when I bought it last week was 4p, went thru the tills at 5p and the jars still actually say 26p (or 27, can't remember) on them. Nice and confusing :)

You could have quoted their over charging policy and got a £2 gift card! :rotfl:

I've not tried the Asda curry sauce but the sweet and sour is very nice. I thought it would be full of additives but when you look at the list on ingrediants there is very little in it.

The Tesco value Sweet and Sour is rank IMO.

I thought it was fine again with some onion chopped through - quite similar to curry sauce from the chinese.

as someone said on the os baord that i posted a similar thread, its worth buying the jars of curry sauce for 5p just for the jars for making chutney.

i am sure there are worse things sprayed on our fruit and veg, than whats in the curry sauce...

i still havent tried it yet, but hopefully we will use some tonight.. with chopped onions mushrooms and chicken...etc...

  • people always quastion what the ingedients in these cheap curry sauces are.
they are fine, they usually have less fat and sugar than the brand name ones.
they are sold as loss leaders because people will buy the cheap curry sauce then buy the chicken, onion, rice, nanbread and beer to go with it.
