Yeah, had received the email, thought exactly the same and went to buy it but paused to do a search for reviews and outcome is mixed
. Thought I'd see if anyone on here could comment.
Will wait and see what others more knowledgeable than me may say - found it is on amazon for £7.99 if miss out on this price.

Hi, my girlfriend has one of these and it works fine both in her and my car, not 'crystal clear' but perfectly fine and great to listen to music in your car and is very small compared to many others. You can disconnect the cigarette socket charger part too if you charge it elsewhere. We've only had problems with the reception in London but that's to do with the lack of free frequencies instead of a fault with the product. It's very easy to use too, just change the frequency on both the adapter and the head unit/radio to the same. Make sure the iPod is very near to the radio source though otherwise the signal is interrupted too much.
I'm going to buy one until I get an Aux In Head Unit for my car. Sounds like a bargain to me!
Thanks Helpdesk!
Hope this helps

it works realy well, arrived fine and with instructions and everything so for £6 odd quid, i think it's still a bargain!"He that is of the opinion money will do everything may well be suspected of doing everything for money." Benjamin Franklin0

I bought a similar thing off ebay a year ago for a fiver delivered, but with a headphone plug so it can be used with any mp3 player or cd player with a std headphone socket, but not most mobiles as they usually have different sockets. They work by getting power from your cig lighter and produce an FM radio signal which your car radio can then pick up. Been very happy with it, not perfect sound quality but as good as any other radio station.
