    Hi Lindsay,
I'm sure someone more experienced than me will be along later or in the morning but I just wanted to reply so you didn't feel all alone with the night-before-BR nerves. The housekeeping and clothing look a little high to me for two adults and one child but your OR may be ok with them. All I would say for definite is that they are adamant about rounding up your figures to whole pounds (ie no pence) on the guidance for filling out the form. So make your TV licence either £11 or £12. The CCCS lady I spoke to when I was doing my SOA (for two adults one child) said £12.
Good luck tomorrow. It's really not as awful as you imagine it might be, just very bureaucratic.

Please can you check the figures. these are how they are laid out on the forms:
    rent - 700
Housekeeping - 470this might get reduced £430 would be more realistic
    gas/elec- 80
    water - 35
    Telephone - 30
    travel - 120
clothing- 120ths again may get reduced £90
    council tax - 108
other (home insurance/car costs ) - 41is the car in your name/belong to you. If so you can up this. Also seperate it from house ins. If the car does not belong to you you can not include the running costs in your SOA.
    dentist/pres/opt - 30
    Mobile - 20
    tv licence - 11.32£12
    Child activities - 8
Holidays - 70leave it but don't be suprised if it ets lowered or disallowed
    Childcare - 225
    Dry cleaning - 20
    car insurance - 25
    Haircuts - £10

thank you, im confused which i put down for all of us (2 adults, 1 child) and which figures are just for me! thank you

    Morning,
Dalip's housekeeping and clothing figures look better to me. But I think Lindsay *can* include running costs for a car that is not hers provided she's the registered keeper and is therefore responsible for MOT, insurance etc. Billy and I did that and didn't encounter any problems with the OR.
    Good luck!

Morn lily. Thanks. No epxert on cars:o I just thought if the car did not "belong" to you then you could not include the costs of it.D

If the car does not belong to you, you cannot include it, but deduct the amount of the running costs from OH contribution to the household - so it balances out really.

Um, we did and it was fine. Perhaps it all depends on this "registered keeper" bit? Or perhaps our OR was just turning a blind eye? If in doubt, do as Skylight did. As she says, it will all balance out. And I guess from the time that this is all moot anyway as Lindsay must be on her way to court by now!

Actually, you know what? The more I read this forum and see the differing amounts for different expenses that individual ORs do and do not allow, the more I think that all one can do is fill out a form to the best of one's abilities and try to have enough evidence of that spending to be able to negotiate from an informed position. It's unnerving how much each individual's experience of bankruptcy is coloured by the discretion of their particular OR. The upside being, I suppose, that with a few glaring exceptions, most ORs seem to be reasonable people. (Does this make any sense? Didn't get much sleep last night.)
