It will probably follow base rates down as they reduce towards the end of this year or start of next. But it will likely stay higher than other mainstream lenders for the next few years, whilst they are still trying to shed balances to repay their government loans.
  • cheers my GF's rate is coming to an end on 01/10/08 so from 01/11/08 she'll go onto the 7.49 rate. Am am planning on moving in soon but we are also planning on selling next year and buying somewhere else. I have savings and was holding off until next year on putting these savings down on new gef. Is this wise? rather than getting a better deal now only to HOPE to sell next year?
